This summer is all about the bright neon lips that can be spotted from a mile away. You can see the trend from brands like Moschino and Sephora that launched earlier this year.

When Jeffree Star announced that he would be dropping his jawbreaker summer collection the beauty community went berserk.

There were vivid colors of reds, pinks purples and a more neutral nude tone.

The collection includes a jawbreaker palette ($58), jawbreaker palette bundle ($75), mini breaker palette ($28) and six velour liquid lipsticks that you can get for $18 each or purchase the bundle for $58. There are also six lip ammo bullet lipsticks for $18 each, three supreme frost, three lip scrubs and a plethora of other accessories like mirrors, makeup bag, t-shirts and of course, track suits.

I purchased the velour liquid lip bundle because I feel like I’ve been more into liquid lipsticks lately and the lip ammo had a shimmery finish that I don’t think I would get a lot of use out of.

The lipsticks came packaged in a lime green box with the signature star print all over. The lipstick tube is clear, of course, with the same lime green top to reflect the theme.

At the bottom of the lipstick tube is the label with the name of each shade, however I did find that quite difficult to read but luckily the box that they came in also had a matching color at the top along with the name of each shade.

The formula is the same as I remembered from his mini red and pink lip bundle that I bought a couple years ago. The consistency is amazing, it applies evenly and dries down matte with a long lasting power.

The only thing you would have to worry about is not prepping your lips prior as these, like many other matte lipsticks, do not take well with dry, chapped lips. A good lip scrub and chapstick helps the formula to last a lot longer when you have a good base to start with.
