Bobbi Brown has made the list!

Hey guys,

I’m pretty sure most of you have heard of Bobbi Brown’s makeup line. It was definitely on my list for a very very long time and I’ve finally gotten the chance to try it. This was actually what my makeup artist put on me for my wedding lip and I fell in love with it. That will be a different blog post however, whenever I receive my wedding pictures.

It’s called English Rose from their Art Stick Liquid Lip collection which looks like a pinkish nude on my complexion almost like my Naturally Chic Lipstick by Milani that you can get here. It’s definitely a more safer shade I would say, meaning that it’s something that you could wear in an office or professional environment. It does slightly give off a little mature feeling to it. Other than that, it’s definitely a shade that you can easily wear from day to night.

It comes in a squeezable tube that can conveniently fit in a small clutch as it’s not bulky at all, which I love.I also found it very easy to apply. You know that sometimes liquid lipsticks can just feel too heavy and sticky, and with this one I found that it was very comfortable to wear, smooth and lightweight. It didn’t emphasize any dry patches or lines on my lips and had a creamy semi-matte finish that lasted for about 6-8 hours. The few times that I’ve worn it, I’ve never had to reapply so that’s a plus for me.

I’ve tried quite a few liquid lipsticks and this is one that I would highly recommend. You can purchase a deluxe sample here for $14.99 if you’ve you’re a newbie to Bobbi Brown like me and would like to give it a try or you can choose a regular sized product for $47.47ย .

butter London- Teddy Boy Lip Crayon Review

Teddy Boy Lip Crayon – Get it Here. This shade is also on sale now for $10. Grab it while it lasts!

Butter London has been a brand on my list, and yes I do have a very long list, that I’ve been wanting to try for a while. As per usual, I’m always in search of a great lip product and came across the lip crayon in the shade Teddy Boy.

Firstly, I would like to mention that I enjoyed using Butter London’s site because they show you how the same product will look on women of different complexion so you could more or less have an idea of how their product is gonna look on you. That to me was very helpful and one of the main reasons why I’ll be back to shop on their site.

Butter London calls it the ‘3-in-1 formula’ as in it gives you the control of a lip liner, coverage of a lipstick and the shine of a gloss. I have to say that these claims have proven to be true.

The lip crayon comes with it’s own built in sharpener which is super convenient. It’s easy to line my lips with it and then fill it in. On my complexion the shade is like a nudish pink which I absolutely love. It almost has that same finish as my Naturally Chic lipstick from Milani. It has a creamy consistency with a slight gloss finish compared to Wet N Wild’s very matte Nudist Peach. It’s not to loud but just perfectly subtle but yet fun and flirty at the same time. Another plus is that this shade will match with almost anything in your wardrobe. It can go from the desk to happy hour in no time.

I honestly can’t wait to try more shades from them. There products are also formulated without harsh and toxic ingredients like parabens and mineral oil just to name a few, so you can be confident that you’re only applying safe ingredients to your skin.

Has anyone tried a product from Butter London? Leave me some feedback and let PuckerUpBabe know in the comments below.

Get Nude with Me – Totally Toffee by Maybelline

Totally Toffee 215 Maybelline

Nude Lipstick- Totally Toffee 215 Maybelline

In my experience I’ve always found it hard to pull off nude lipsticks because I feel like they wash me out, which I’m sure is almost always the case for women with darker complexion, but as determined as I am, I’m always on a quest for I will not be defeated by the nudes.

My latest buy is Totally Toffee 215 by Maybelline. I’ve tried a few in the past and this shade seems to work best for my skin tone. It has a very smooth and creamy texture which I also find very moisturizing. On my skin tone it’s almost the same shade as my NYX Mauve Lip Gloss minus the glossy finish. This lipstick looks amazing when worn with bold smoky eyes for a date night or tone it down for a more natural look for the office. You can easily dress it up or down depending on the occasion or the setting.

If you’re new to wearing nude lipsticksย then you might have to go through several trials and error like I did before I found a shade that I was satisfied with. When you finally find one that works for you just make sure to stock up on the shade in case it gets discontinued. Don’t you hate that? Try it out and let me know what you think. Puckers to you, xoxo.

My No Make Up Nude Lip with NYX Riverside Rose Lip Crayon

NYC Riverside Rose Lip Crayon

NYC Riverside Rose Lip Crayon

So it has always been hard for me to find the perfect nude lip that will go great with my complexion and won’t let me look sick or washed out. My current nude lipstick buy is by NYC in the shade Riverside Rose. It’s actually a lip crayon and it looks like a nude pink on my lips. I’ve been a little lazy about wearing make up lately and when that happens, I just put on a little face moisturizer and of course a cute nude lip color.
When I first applied this lip crayon I put it on my bare lips and it was just really dry and unpleasant looking which is a definite no no when it comes to my lips. For my second attempt, I glided on some of my e.o.s. lip balm before and then added the lip crayon which made the look and feel a thousand times better. I am very pleased with the results now and will definitely be wearing this lip crayon more often. What’s your favourite nude lip color? Share your comments below. Puckers to you xoxo.
