Colourpop is one of those brands that quickly established itself as a trendy and affordable makeup brand. Their ultra blotted lipsticks and ultra glossy glosses are a couple of my favorites from their entire lipstick collection.

What I enjoy about the Ulra Blotted lipsticks is that they are super lightweight and give you the perfect faded flush of color to your lips without making you look like you’re trying too hard. Look at the swatches from their California Love Collection.

Majority of the shades seem to work out great but once in a while you do get some shades that turn out to be very splotchy. You can also help to prevent that uneven coverage by not pressing your lips together before they are completely dry.

What’s great about the set is that if you feel that the blotted lip is wearing a bit too dry you can apply the ultra glossy lip on top which will totally transform the lip and allow for an even more comfortable wear.

Also, if you naturally have dry lips then wearing the ultra blotted lip by itself may not be the best idea because it will emphasize dry patches. It’s best to just wear the gloss on top so that you don’t have to worry about your dry patches flaking off the lipstick.
