If ColourPop is not releasing something new every time you blink then they’re not doing something right. ColourPop has definitely been doing an excellent job keeping up with the trends but the only thing is that I don’t know if my coins can keep up!
If you haven’t found out already, their Fall Collection just went live on their website and it’s looking really fierce with a colourful leopard print packaging. They just posted a picture on their Instagram of the collection:
“Fall Edit Collection is LIVE 🍂☁ Good Sport Palette, Crush On You Highlighter Palette, 5 NEW Supernova Shadows, & 6 NEW Lux Lipsticks! “
Good Sport Pressed Powder Palette – $16
Crush on You Highlighter Palette – $18
Like A Snack Lipstick Bundle – $36; $7 ea
In Retrograde Supernova Shadows Bundle – $30; $7 ea
The lipsticks definitely have a great variety of fall colors like crimson oranges, browns and purple and even a wild denim-looking color called “JV”.
If you’ve been peeping Kim’s Instagram you’ll know that her Cherry Blossom Collection is set to launch on September 14th and it’s looking very colorful compared to what we usually expect from the Queen of Nudes!
Her collection was inspired by her love for Cherry Blossom’s which was also the theme for her son’s , Chicago’s, baby shower. The makeup mogul teased us with a shockingly very provocative photo on her Instagram with her in Cherry Blossoms leaving very little to the imagination.
A couple month’s back, the reality TV star also gave us a hint that there were gonna be some brighter hues for her next collection when a fan asked her about other colors than nudes on Twitter. Read more about that here.
This collection features hues of pinks, corals and berries that I’m living for. KKW Beauty is just giving us the works this Fall. Kim’s collection also includes a first ever blush set which I’m sure everyone is excited for.
So let’s get into what this Cherry Blossom Collection includes:
I have tried KKW Beauty’s entire nude creme lipsticks and still love them to this day. When I don’t feel like wearing a créme lipstick I find myself reaching for her sister, Kylie Jenner, Kylie Cosmetics liquid lipsticks from her 21 Collection. The formula is very lightweight and long lasting.
The Kardashian’s are definitely making a name for themselves in the beauty industry and whether you prefer KKW Beauty or Kylie Cosmetics or neither, we can certainly enjoy Cherry Blossom Season in the Fall.
Even though I love makeup, it’s always a good feeling when I can look good and support a worthy cause at the same time.
The Lipstick Lobby is a company that works in partnership with different non-profit organizations to support different causes. Some of these organizations include Planned Parenthood, The American Civil Liberties Union, The Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence and the most recent, the Unprison Project, backed by social activist and feminist icon Gloria Steinem to assist incarcerated women.
Gloria Steinem, not much of a lipstick wearer but a huge social justice supporter partnered with the Lipstick Lobby to create a lip balm where the proceeds will help women who are incarcerated. You can purchase the In the Clear Lip Balm here.
All the proceeds from lipstick sales are donated for the betterment of women across the nation and their message couldn’t be more inspirational.
“…we aim to raise awareness for social justice issues, and also to provoke conversation. Wearing a coat of lipstick on its own can be simple and stunning. But sometimes we want to say more, say it clearly, and unapologetically. “
As a woman, not only do I feel obligated to support other women but it’s important to make it known that looking and feeling beautiful goes beyond what lipstick shade you’re trying to decide to wear but about creating a forward movement of strong, independent women. We can wear lipstick and kick ass by empowering other women while we’re at it.
Like I’ve always mentioned, we don’t always get to control what happens to us but what we can control is where we choose to spend our money and for me it feels amazing when I know it’s going towards promoting social change in a positive light like what Blush and Whimsy and Color the World Lipstick are doing.
You can find out more about this company and support the movement here.
Paul and Joe Beaut, a makeup and cosmetics company launched their cat inspired fall lipsticks collection and they are nothing short of cute.
If you think that the lipsticks are amazing wait until you see the packaging! You’ll practically just want to throw all your money at them and snag their collection. The packaging features a very floral almost retro vibe with cat prints all over them.
If these aren’t the cutest things you’ve ever seen then I don’t know what is! If we aren’t cat lovers ourselves, we all know someone who adores cats so these will make the perfect gift for them.
You don’t even have to gift them. Just buy them for the heck of it just because they’re cute and will definitely make great conversation starters if you use them to spice up your vanity.
I mean who could resist the intricate details and the design of these lipsticks? They’re too cute that it would probably hurt to use them and ruin the cute cat face.
Even though it’s gonna be hard for me to kick my love for matte lipsticks, I do have to say that once it a while it feels very refreshing to swipe on a creamy, moisturizing lipstick that leaves your lips feeling pillowy soft.
I recently discovered Fleshy Lips Lipstick from a newer beauty brand, Flesh Beauty. Flesh Beauty’s Fleshy Lips lipsticks are a set of four sheer, natural looking lipsticks that are geared towards giving you the best version of your lips.
