Here’s what was included in this month’s bag:
This month’s bag was extremely late where mine did not hit the mailbox until the 29th of November but at least it got here before the month was over.
November’s card was all white and featured cute little eyes and lips in the shap of an umbrella. I did not quite get the reason for the umbrella in November but it was cute.
The theme for the month is ‘Give them a reason to stare’
Normally, the list of products and the prices can be found on the back of the card but this time around there was nothing but a message letting us know of their newly launched website with $5 off any one-time purchase.
So I had to do some research to get prices for the items.
Let’s take a look at what came in the bag:
Jersey Shore Cosmetics Star Mint Glossy Balm – $10
Jelly Pong Pong Ballon Lip Butter -$18.95
Mirabella Color Viny Lipstick Icy Violet – Reg price $26; On Sale $10
South Mane Lip Gels – Reg price $14; On Sale $9
Jersey Shore Cosmetics Star Mint Glossy Balm – $10
Lip balms are a beauty essential no matter if you’re a frequent lipstick wearer or not. This one from Jersey Shore Cosmetics, a non toxic beauty line, is all organic with certified organic ingredients. It smells really great and does feel very minty on the lips but unfortunately I did not get much of a glossy effect from it.
In September’s Bag we also received a peppermint lip balm from Portland Bee Balm that I still enjoy to this day.
Jelly Pong Pong Balloon Lip Butter -$18.95
The Jelly Pong Pong brand is no stranger to the Lip Monthly Subscription. This lip butter was very creamy and felt hydrating on the lips but this color was a bit off for my skin tone.
On their website it is described as…
“A rich, emollient, buttery lip treatment that leaves lips gently hydrated with a tinge of color. All shades are formulated with a toffee & coral-rose base so they will never drain your complexion, no matter which hue you pick.”
The swatch on my hands came off as a slight rosy nude.
However, on my lips the color did not come off the same giving me a washed out look. This can definitely be fixed with a brown lip liner to create more dimensions but on its own it did not work out for me.
Mirabella Colour Vinyl Lipstick Icy Violet – $26
Mirabella is a brand that I have never heard of before so I checked out their website and seems like they are a beauty brand that sells a bit of everything for eyes, lips and face.
The colour vinyl lipsticks are regularly priced at $26 but they were on sale for $10 but they were also marked as sold out.
This lipstick, however, is absolutely gorgeous. The violet color is super pigment and definitely pops.
It has a very unique feeling on the lips that I have not felt with any other lipstick. The texture of it is like a glossy lipstick.
In other words it feels like a lipstick but has the finish of a gloss. With that said, this lipstick does not have a very long staying power.
With a creamy, glossy finish it does transfer to everything but if that does not bother you then it would be totally worth it.
South Mane Lip Gels – $14
Lip gels are a beauty treatment that I’ve received in the past that is suppose to help moisturize and soften your lips. This brand also has eye gels that work pretty well at depuffing eyes.
We received three packs of South Mane’s lip gels in our bag which was pretty awesome. I did test these out and I have to say that the gels did what they claimed to do.
There was definitely a tingling sensation and my lips were more softer than before. The only thing is that it was a struggle to actually keep these on the lips.
If you were not lying down or had your head tilted back they fall off very easily so that was a lot annoying. They definitely scored points for a little plumping and moisturizing but not for ease of use.
The total value for Lip Monthly’s November bag is $68.95
