Liquid lipsticks have been on the rise in the beauty industry but so has the search when it comes to finding one that is comfortable to wear. With all the different brands and technologies out there it’s still shockingly very hard to find a liquid lipstick that doesn’t have your lips looking crusty after a couple hours.
I’ve tested and tried many lipsticks from high end to drugstore and the same problem still exists on both ends of the spectrum. Finding something that actually lasts and is comfortable.
A luxury liquid lipstick doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re getting the best quality and likewise, a drugstore brand doesn’t mean you’re getting the worst quality.
Honestly, some of the best quality lipsticks I’ve worn are drugstore brands. When it comes to keeping your lips hydrated, I’ve found that Wet N Wild’s Megalast Liquid Catsuit High-Shine Lipsticks are a great choice for someone looking for hydration over longevity.
These lipsticks apply and feel like a gloss that you can choose to wear as a sheer finish or build it up to a more pigmented look.
Another great choice is Ulta Beauty’s Patent Shine Liquid Lipstick. These lipsticks have the same high shine finish to Wet N Wild’s but they do last a tad bit longer.
The moisture rich formula easily glides on your lips for a comfortable wear throughout the day.
The one thing I’ve found out with the beauty industry is that there is no magic lipstick or product that is going to satisfy your every need. At the end of the day something has got to give. If you want a moisture rich formula, you probably won’t get a great wear time.
On the flip side if you’re looking for a long wear lipstick then you might have to deal with the dryness that comes with it.
