Its undeniable that Maybelline is one of the oldest cosmetics company to ever exist and they have come a long way when it comes to perfecting their craft.
Maybelline’s Super Stay Matte Ink is the newest addition to my collection. I believe that there are 10 new shades to the collection and I purchased five of them that I thought would work best on my complexion. They retail at around $8.
The shades that I purchased are Protector, Visionary, Ruler, Fighter and Philosopher.

These ten shades are exclusive online and include hues of sultry grays, electric blues and vivacious orange that’s making me want them even more. I can see these shades pairing fabulously with summer outfits.
These shades are just simply irresistible it would be hard to just choose one. Not to mention that there are also 44 more shades of her Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks available and these latest shades are not helping with the already difficult decision.

I have my eyes on Milagro and Órale for sure. At this point I’m even willing to go out of my comfort zone and give Sinner a try. That Plan9 green tho!
Let’s chat it up. What shades look deliciously sinful to you?
Jeffree Star has surely made a name for himself in the beauty industry when he launched his cosmetics line three years ago and he’s still changing the game. This year, he’s ready to spice up your Valentines with his Love Sick Collection.
I’m pretty sure most of you have heard of Bobbi Brown’s makeup line. It was definitely on my list for a very very long time and I’ve finally gotten the chance to try it. This was actually what my makeup artist put on me for my wedding lip and I fell in love with it. That will be a different blog post however, whenever I receive my wedding pictures.
It’s called English Rose from their Art Stick Liquid Lip collection which looks like a pinkish nude on my complexion almost like my Naturally Chic Lipstick by Milani that you can get here. It’s definitely a more safer shade I would say, meaning that it’s something that you could wear in an office or professional environment. It does slightly give off a little mature feeling to it. Other than that, it’s definitely a shade that you can easily wear from day to night.
It comes in a squeezable tube that can conveniently fit in a small clutch as it’s not bulky at all, which I love.I also found it very easy to apply. You know that sometimes liquid lipsticks can just feel too heavy and sticky, and with this one I found that it was very comfortable to wear, smooth and lightweight. It didn’t emphasize any dry patches or lines on my lips and had a creamy semi-matte finish that lasted for about 6-8 hours. The few times that I’ve worn it, I’ve never had to reapply so that’s a plus for me.
I’ve tried quite a few liquid lipsticks and this is one that I would highly recommend. You can purchase a deluxe sample here for $14.99 if you’ve you’re a newbie to Bobbi Brown like me and would like to give it a try or you can choose a regular sized product for $47.47 .
There has been so much rave about this liquid lipstick that I had to find out for myself what kind of magic, if any, was stored in the tube.
Right off the bat, it has a very high end looking tube packaging with a wand applicator that allows you to easily glide on the lipstick. Wet N Wild claims this lipstick to have “Vivid Color”, “Ultra-Matte Finish” and “Comfortable Wear”.
When I first applied the lipstick, I have to say that the color and pigmentation was intense. I did have to wait for about 20 seconds for it to try before I applied my second coat. When the second coat was fully dried it did have a very dry and matte finish that did not budge. It is also kiss proof and transfer free. Way to go for a liquid lipstick that’s only 5 bucks!
As they claimed, the wear is very comfortable. It doesn’t feel heavy on the lips at all. If I didn’t know any better I wouldn’t even have known that I was wearing lipstick. The formula that makes this lipstick super lightweight is definitely a winner.
I would say that the wear time is about average, 3 to 4 hours. My lips were even drier around that time and I noticed that dry patches were starting to show. It also doesn’t hold up very well after eating so I had to remove and apply a fresh coat and all was well with the world again.
Wet N Wild is definitely giving luxury brands a run for their money as the quality of the lipstick and of course the affordable price is something that can’t be beat.
