It’s that time of the year where we start planning our outfits and makeup looks for all the holiday parties, and if you don’t know what you’re going to do yet then I’ve got you covered.
Usually, once you get your outfit together the only thing you have to worry about is your hair and makeup. Once you got your makeup figured out then you’ve probably already figured out how you want to style your hair.
Whether you want to go with a simple glam look or over-the-top glitz and glamour, the Sephora Frosted Kisses lipstick is a good place to start.
The Sephora Frosted Lipstories is a limited edition set of six of their most popular or best-selling shades. They have a variety of shades and finishes from metallic, cream and even matte, that can add the finishing touch to your overall look.
There are six shades, two of which were bonus shades that you got for free. The lipsticks are graced with beautiful winter themes of snow, cabins and fireplaces. The depiction couldn’t have been more accurate as a way to express winter, so if you’re not getting winter vibes from this collection, then I don’t know what will.
Not only is the packaging beautiful but the formula is one of the best when it comes to affordable makeup. These usually run about $8 for a single lipstick which is really what drugstore prices are at these days so I would say that you don’t have to break the bank to afford these.
The entire set can be purchased at Sephora for $28.
Ice Dancing (36)
I would describe this shade as a beautiful rosy nude. It also has a very smooth and creamy finish.
Sweater Weather (31)
When I hear sweater weather I think about cozy, but also moody makeup looks and this color is giving me that and then some. This shade is a purple matte finish but like I’ve mentioned before in previous posts, their matte lipsticks are more like a creamy matte that you won’t even know that you’re wearing a matte lipstick.
Campfire Cuties (71)
Though Campfire Cuties is one of their best selling shades, I found this one to be my least favorite from the set. It has nothing to do with the formula because it was creamy and comfortable but I found the yellow-gold metallic finish to be just a little bit too much for me.
It would definitely be appropriate for like a costume themed party or even for New Years, but I just didn’t see it as functional color for my everyday regular schmegular life.
Cabin Fever (23)
A red lip definitely ties this frosted collection together. A red lipstick is a necessary staple no matter what the season. This matte finish red lipstick has a sexy, blue red undertone that will not go unnoticed.
Winter Blizzard (69)
Of all the shades, this metallic finish lipstick is the one that took me by surprise. I was not expecting it to swatch the way it did.
It’s a white lipstick with iridescent shimmers in but when swatched it turned out to be a gorgeous purple iridescent color that I instantly loved. It was honestly a pleasant surprise.
Snow Day (58)
Lastly, but certainly not least, we have Snow Day which is another dark, moody shade that is perfect for the winter months. This chocolate matte shade is that shade of brown that you will definitely need in your collection.
Overall, this set is definitely worth it if you’re looking to try out lipsticks with different finishes from the Sephora Collection. They are affordable and the quality can be compared to some higher end brands. These will even make great Christmas presents for the makeup lover.
