Lip Glosses are always gonna be a struggle until they get the formula right.

We’ve all been traumatized by goopey, sticky lip glosses and some of us are still recovering from that.

With that said, I haven’t given up on searching for that lip gloss that will give me everything I need and then some…you know…the whole cherry on top.

My latest purchase is the Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi Shine Lip Gloss four piece travel-sized collection that I purchased at Sephora.

Let’s find out if the full size is worth your coins….

The four shades that were included in the travel size are:

Sugar Sugar (312)
Love Buzz (324)
Some Girls (328)
Make Me (340)

The packaging looks very sleek, minimal and luxurious.

When I opened the first lip gloss for the first time I immediately noticed that it had a minty fresh smell to it which I love in lip glosses. It has a very minty and cooling sensation like the Buxom lip gloss, but less tingly because of course the Buxom lip gloss is a lip plumping gloss.

At first swatch they felt very creamy, almost silky on the lips. I did get a little sticky-ness from them but not goopey. I’ve felt worse.

A couple things that I did love about them is that, like described, they are very high hi-shine with little glitters small enough that you won’t notice it, which makes them a great transition gloss from day to night.

Sugar Sugar is a nude-ish color on me. It’s the best nude I’ve worn but it’s a beautiful shade. I could easily top off my lipsticks with this shade to totally transform my lips.

Love Buzz swatched as a very light pink but showed a little bit more pigment than Sugar Sugar.

Some Girls is definitely a peachy tone that is gorgeous. This one swatched great on me.

And last but definitely not least is Make Me! This is the shade that I loved the most as the pigment really came through for me on this one. It’s like a mauve-ey, pinky color that is just amazing.

What I loved most about these lip glosses is how pretty the colors, how versatile they are, meaning that they can be worn alone or over lipsticks and how moisturizing they left my lips even after the color has faded.

Which leads me to my cons, the colors only lasted about two hours or less, before I had to reapply.  Another con is that they were a tad bit sticky than I like but nothing that I can’t handle. Also these might be a bit pricey for some people.

With that said, I would definitely purchase the full size product.

What are your opinions? Let’s Discuss

XOXO
