August Boxycharm has arrived and for most people there was everything but a party happening in that box, but I thought differently. Let’s just say I choose to see the box as half full.
Boxycharm is a monthly beauty subscription box that features 5 to 6 full size products.
This month’s theme is Life of the Party!
Cost – $21 monthly with free shipping
The combined total of the beauty products in this month’s box ranged from $102 – $108 and is known to be one of the lowest priced boxes in Boxycharm’s history!
The products included in this month’s box are:
Laura Lee Los Angeles – Party Animal Eyeshadow Palette
This palette came with six vibrant colors that are definitely not your everyday eye-look shades, at least for most people. Like the theme describes, it’s definitely more suited for a night out for partying and having a good time.
It turned most people off because of how impractical it is ,but truthfully it’s nice to have a colorful, compact palette for when you need one.

House of Lashes – Temptress
I’m not a big fan of lashes, as a matter of fact I don’t wear them at all but I do appreciate the way they can transform a look. These lashes from House of Lashes are cruelty-free and are suppose to give you around 15 wears!

Smashbox – Be Legendary Triple Tone Lipstick in Red Ombre
Smashbox definitely has some of the best quality and pigmented lipsticks on the market and this one was soft, easy to apply and lightweight with a semi-matte finish. The only thing is that it was hard to see the ombre effect.
It showed up more orange to me on my complexion and I really didn’t see any color transitions.

Wander Beauty – Baggage Claim Gold Eye Masks
The more I receive eye masks in beauty boxes, the more I realize how helpful they are when it comes to reducing under eye baggage making you look more alive and youthful.
What separates these eye masks from others is that they contain hyaluronic acid which also helps to diminish the appearance of wrinkles. I’ll take it!

Bang Beauty – Chocolate Eyeliner
Like most people, I use eyeliner on a regular basis, if not everyday! This one from Bang Beauty can not only be used as eyeliner but as an eyeshadow base as well as to touch up your eyebrows.
The formula was soft and creamy but the only thing is that the color was a bit off for my complexion.

Adesse – Sweet Almond Cuticle Oil
This cuticle oil threw most people for a loop just because of how random it was. In all honesty, I didn’t mind it because I’ll surely find it useful.
Cuticle oil is one thing that I never have my mind on until I get that one hang nail and notice how horrible and dry my nails are so it’s nice to have that on hand for when I need it.
