There were some great lip pieces in the Sephora Give Me Some Lip Spring 2018 Favorites but at the same time there were a few that I had to say ‘Girl Bye!’ to.

This box came with five mini lip products and one full size lipstick.

I love mini lip products just because of how convenient they are, especially when traveling. It just makes packing way more easy.

The brands included in this season’s Sephora Favorites include: Grande Lips, Kat Von D, Urban Decay, Bite Beauty, Tarte and Anastasia Beverly Hills.

The lip product that came out on top for me was the Grande Lips Plumping Liquid Lipstick that I got in the shade Smoked Sherry Matte. It does have like an odd ‘hospital scent’ to me at first but it goes away after a while. I liked how easy the application was and the purple/mauve matte finish went great with my skin tone.

Second favorite was Kat Von D’s Studded Kiss lipstick in the shade Lovecraft. The only reason this didn’t get the number one spot was because I wished it was a little darker. It has a pinkish nude shade but came across a little light on my lips. Other than that its a great lipstick with more of a creamy matte finish as well.

Third favorite was Anastasia Beverly Hills Ruby Matte Lipstick. This was also the only full size product from the box. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a lover of red lipsticks and I had very high expectations for this lipstick but there were a couple things I didn’t like about it.

It wasn’t the easiest lipstick to apply and it was a little bit too drying for me. I know that matte lipsticks are known to be drying but this one felt a little too extra dry which put it in third place.

The last three were my least favorite mostly because I’m so over the holo, unicorn trend and whatever else they call it. The last three include Bite Beauty’s Pink Pearl Lipstick, Tarte’s H2O Lip Gloss and Urban Decay’s HiFi Shine Lip Gloss. These all had some holo effect that I really didn’t care for.

On the flip side, I have to say that they are fun for those who don’t care too much about all the shimmer and sparkles. The formula is great for the Bite Beauty Lipstick, it was easy to apply with a matte finish. The lip glosses smelled great but were a little too sticky but I guess that’s what you should expect from most lip glosses.

These are definitely not gonna be your everyday lip products as they are super sparkly and would make more sense if it’s worn at night. If I had to choose one it would be Tarte’s H20 lip gloss because that was the most moisturizing of the three plus I like the 3D water droplets on the lid. I thought that was super cool.
