This month’s box is all about innovative products that are changing the game in the beauty industry.
One thing that is different for Play by Sephora this month is the bag. Sephora is now going green with their monthly Play! by Sephora bag by giving us a more environmentally safe packaging that is 100% recyclable.
Along with the box came 50 beauty insider points that you can redeem in store or online this time.
The products included in this month’s box are:
Peter Thomas – Hungarian Thermal Water
This is a heat treatment mask that helps to remove dullness and reveal more radiant, youthful skin. It’s first applied on clean dry skin and left for three minutes. There was a slight tingling feeling when applied to the face.
After three minutes, you activate the formula by wetting your finger tips and massaging the product on your face and then rinse. The skin definitely felt more cleansed and look a lot brighter after use.
Boscia – Cactus Water Moisturizer
This day/night moisturizer is made with cactus to help hydrate and revive dry skin.
It feels very cooling on the skin with a lightweight non greasy formula that absorbs very quickly. The texture of the formula is very similar to Belif’s True Cream Moisturizing Bomb with it’s moisture rich fast absorbing formula.
Too Faced – Hangover Replenishing Face Primer
Knowing that I have very dry skin, I usually shy away from using face primers but this one from Too Faced is a primer that hydrates the skin to give you that youthful, dewy look under your makeup.
The formula is very lightweight and it contains coconut water that helps to keep the skin looking young and refreshed without the dry matte feeling.
Marc Jacobs Beauty – Shameless Youthful Look 24H Foundation SPF 25 in Deep Y500
This is a weightless, long wear foundation with medium coverage and a flawless finish.
It has a bit more of a red undertone that you can see from the swatch.
The good thing about this foundation is that it contains SPF 25 so that your skin is protected from the sun’s harmful rays while looking flawless.
Sephora Collection – LashCraft Big Volume Mascara in Black
I love having travel sized mascaras in my collection and this one from Sephora does a great job at adding volume. It’s made with jojoba oil which helps to prevent clumping.
The bristle has a curved design that helps to not only separate the lashes but add volume as well. It also helps to get in that challenging inner and outer part of the eyelashes.
This one is very comparable to Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara as they do a very good job at separating and coating the lashes.
BONUS ITEM
Tom Ford – Black Orchid
This month’s bonus item is Tom Ford’s Black Orchid perfume that has notes of truffle and bergamot. It’s a very unique scent that is definitely floral but in a mature, sexy kind of way.
