Obviously this is a late post but I’m just reviewing my March Boxy Charm as my box got delivered while I was away on vacation.
Boxy Charm is a beauty subscription box that offers four to five full sized products every month for $21 and free shipping. There’s a $100 or more worth of products in the box.
This is actually my first Boxy Charm box. I currently only have one beauty box subscription and it’s the Walmart Beauty box that’s $5 every three months that you can check out here. I watched a lot of YouTube reviews and Boxy Charm had the best reviews compared to the other beauty boxes around the same price so I decided to go along with them.

Here’s what was included in March’s Box:
Pretty Vulgar – Make Them Blush ($26.00)
Pretty Vulgar is actually a brand that I’ve never tried or heard of before so it was nice to get a product from a different brand. At first impression I thought that the Hush Blush would be too light for my complexion but in the end it actually turned out really well and I was happy with the results.
The Vintage Cosmetic Company – Smokey Eye Makeup Brush Set ($23.15)
I just have to say that me wearing eyeshadow depends a lot on ‘if I’ve got the feeling’ which is often seldom. Honestly I keep my makeup very simple and make my lips be the star of the show. But since I got these brushes, it might force me to try some eye looks.
This was also a brand that I’ve never used or heard of before so the element of surprise was definitely there for me. At first feel without any eyeshadow powder on them the brushes felt really soft but I feel like they struggled when it came to actually applying the eyeshadow to the eyes.
South Mane Beauty – Under Eye Gels ($10.00)
Under Eye Gels are definitely new for me and so is South Mane Beauty. I’ve seen eye gels and other beauty accessories everywhere but I have never actually used them. The only thing I’ve used before is face masks which I frequently get in my Walmart Beauty Box.
There were three packs in the box that is suppose to be used for three consecutive days for a period of half hour. At first try these were very cooling on the skin. I felt a little tingling but nothing crazy. The second time around I noticed that the eye gels were sliding down my face and I constantly had to slide them back up which got annoying. I couldn’t tell any immediate results after trying the second pack either so the jury is still out on this one. Maybe Ill know for sure after I use the third packet.
butter London – Double Decker Mascara ($20.00)
This mascara was definitely my favorite item from this beauty box. Despite the ridiculous claims of it giving you 200% thicker lashes in just one coat and 314% increase in lash curl, I did see an immediate difference in my lashes but nothing too crazy. I like that it did not clump at all and did a great job of separating the lashes making them look fuller.
PÜR – Eyeshadow Palette ($36.00)
While I’m not huge on eyeshadows just because I love to keep my makeup more simple, it was fun trying out this eyeshadow palette. The colors were very tropical like and gorgeous with great pigmentation. The only negative I had was that there was quite a bit of fall out when I was applying it to my eyelids.
This is what I love about beauty boxes because it gives you the opportunity to try different brands without breaking the bank. It’s not like I’m gonna drop all my current faves and burn the bridge, but at the same time it’s nice to know what else is out there in case your favorite product gets discontinued, and we all know they do!
Below is my Boxycharm makeup look that I put together using Purfect, Boxy Black and Mia from the eyeshadow palette as well as using the Pretty Vulgar Blush and the Double Decker Mascara.
Who’s a current Boxy Charmer? What were your favorite products? Let’s discuss!
XOXO
I love the packaging of the blush!
I do too! The packaging made it looked way more expensive than it actually was.
