If you guys follow me on Instagram you would know from my Instagram Stories that I had an absolutely wonderful time in the Caribbean but after spending countless hours under the sun it definitely took a toll on my skin.
Even though I took the proper steps to take care of my skin from the sun’s harmful rays like wearing a hat and putting sunscreen on, at the end of the day there is only so much that I can do.
With that said I still ended up getting sun burnt, not as much as my husband, but let’s just say neither of us escaped it. I also noticed a little heat rash on my face just before we left the Caribbean.
This kit was like the sunshine after the rain with everything I needed all in one package.
I ordered it just in time before I went on vacation because I knew how hot it could get and I wanted the proper products to give my skin a little TLC after a little fun in the sun.
What I did use daily to take care of my lips was the fresh SUGAR Advanced Therapy lip balm. This pocket size lip balm saved me from having dry, cracked lips while on vacation. This stuff is buttery soft and lasts a long time. I also wore this under my lipstick if I wore any makeup for the day.
I also took my Blush and Whimsy lipstick with me just to have a little tint to my bare lips while not wearing any makeup at all. I loved having this with me as this along with the Sugar Advanced Therapy kept my lips well moisturized.
In the morning time I washed my face with the Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser. I have to say that this is the most gentle cleanser I’ve ever used. There is really no scent to it and if there is it’s very mild.
I then applied the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream to help lock in some hydration before we went out for the day. This is also amazing on my skin. I kept my makeup very minimal when I was on vacation but if I did wear makeup I used this as a moisturizer before I applied my makeup.
At night time I washed my face again with the Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cleanser and then I applied my Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. I only applied this a few times for that week I was on vacation as the instructions were to only use a couple times a week but I actually used it for three nights.
The smell on this to me is very vibrant and citrus-y. For those who are sensitive to smells and fragrance might find this to be too strong but I actually don’t mind it plus a little goes a long way.
When I got back to the States it was then that I applied my Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil to help with repairing my skin and I could already tell that my skin is bouncing back after all that sun damage.
I think that the damage would’ve been worse had I only relied on sunscreen. What have you guys used to take care of your lips and skin while on vacation?
