September’s Boycharm has landed and it’s all about the wild flowers? But how wild is this box this time around. With last month’s box being a bit of a disappointment for most people, we’re hoping that September’s box will redeem last month’s abomination.
Boxycharm is a monthly beauty subscription box that features 5 to 6 full size products.
This month’s theme is Wild Flower!
Cost – $21 monthly with free shipping
The combined total of the beauty products in this month’s is $119. Not the most expensive box I’ve received but definitely not the lowest either.Read More »
Obviously this is a late post but I’m just reviewing my March Boxy Charm as my box got delivered while I was away on vacation.
Boxy Charm is a beauty subscription box that offers four to five full sized products every month for $21 and free shipping. There’s a $100 or more worth of products in the box.
This is actually my first Boxy Charm box. I currently only have one beauty box subscription and it’s the Walmart Beauty box that’s $5 every three months that you can check out here. I watched a lot of YouTube reviews and Boxy Charm had the best reviews compared to the other beauty boxes around the same price so I decided to go along with them.

If you’ve read my last blog you’ll find that I’m starting to shift my nail polish collection into more long wearing nail polishes so as to save money in the long run. I recently un-boxed my butter London Glitz and Glam Set to find that there are three more polishes, a lippy and an eyeliner. That was a pleasant surprise that I got for making a purchase over $50.
There’s a new deal going on right now with a $50 purchase. Snag it here with promo CATWALKREADY. This deal has a $62 value so jump on it now while supplies last.
It was definitely worth it as I can say I got double the products for the price of one. This girl is not complaining!
Of course there’s not better way to show off my lipstick for the day than with a selfie. I haven’t actually worn the Snog liquid lipstick that came in the Glam Set yet because I want to save that for another post but for this particular day I chose to wear Teddy Boy Lip Crayon by butter London because it’s easily becoming my go to when I’m having a hard time finding a matching lipstick.
I did wear a top coat of the Lucy in the Sky over one of my other nail polished and I did like the finish of it. This photo was also taken like six days after I put it one because I wanted to see how long it lasted and it did not disappoint.

I’m that girl who prefer to do her own nails instead of spending money at the nail salon but what really irritates me is when I spend all that time painting and perfecting my nails only to have them chip after like the first hour.
Read on if you’ve been there.
It’s coming to that point where I don’t have time to be doing over my nails and because I’m cost conscious, I’m not spending unnecessary money if I don’t have to because, well you know, that’s reserved my makeup.
So since I’ve been into a Butter London phase I decided to try their Nail Lacquer in the shade Cotton Buds which is a white nail polish. I wore this nail polish for like 10 days straight and it only had like minor chips after like day 7. Since my dishwasher is broken, it was the perfect time for me to test it out and I have to say that it lasted through scrubbing of those pots and pans. That would have never happened with my current nail polish collection. It is highly pigmented but I did apply a couple coats because I wanted to build layers to make it last longer. You probably only need one coat but I preferred two.
The only disadvantage to this nail polish I would say is the price retailing at $15.00.
Normally, I wait for nail polishes to go on sale for like $1.00 but never spend more than $3.50, however, I find that I have a bunch of cheap nail polishes that chip easily so I decided to invest in one that will give me a little bit more chip free longevity. In the long run it made more sense for me economically and honestly there are a lot more health benefits to this nail polish.
“It promotes strong, healthy nails – Contains Hydrolyzed Silk, Horsetail Extract, Vitamins B, C, and E”
“butter LONDON does not add Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DBP, Toluene, Camphor, Ethyl Tosylamide, Xylene, or TPHP to any of its nail product formulas.”
Why this nail polish saved me time and money?
$15 sounds like a lot but it does last longer than the nail polishes that I currently have. Instead of buying 15 nail polishes for a dollar that lasts for 5 minutes on your nails.
I would rather invest in a good nail polish that will last me longer and dry faster so that I can get on with my life.
I agree that initially $15 is quite a lot to spend especially on a nail polish but it’s way cheaper in the long run than spending money to go to the nail shop every week. chemicals

I have to admit that I’m glad to be back after taking off a month. If you’ve noticed that I’ve been MIA for a while that’s because I recently got married and was caught up in wedding planning and travelling. Now that that’s all over just been trying to get back to my lipstick hunting and weekly blogging.
Well you guys know that I love a good deal, especially if you’re someone like me who spends a lot on makeup. Butter London has been my secret obsession as of late. I’ve purchased their lip oil that I’m convinced was a God sent because it’s literally the best thing that has happened to my lips. And because I was very happy with that purchase, I had to go back and get other products, of course.
The good news is that Butter London is having a sale and that’s how I ended up buying more products. Click here to take advantage of that sale and reclaim your lipstick game! Since it’s a sale item, it may or may not be available but the lipstick version can be found on Amazon as well.
My most recent purchase is the Primrose Hill Picnic Lip Crayon as seen in the pic below:
It’s a very girly and flirty fuchsia-like shade on me. I really got a ton of compliments on this color as it is so vibrant and just lights up my entire face.
You can compare it to my first lip crayon purchase from Butter London in the shade Teddy Boy that is more of pinkish nude on my skin tone that I wear all the time now when I’m not trying to go too heavy on the makeup.
I am convinced that this product was sent from the gods of lip care. As a frequent lipstick wearer, and for extended hours at a time, my lips tend to suffer from dryness as well as peeling. Rough, dry and peeling lips is never sexy, especially under some matte lipstick! I do still routinely scrub and exfoliate my lips but sometimes I just need something more to lock in that moisture and I believe I’ve finally found it.

butter London’s Lush Lip Oil in the shade Ballet Blush is the business. I’ve never purchased any form of lip oil before and that’s why I was motivated to get this one. This lip oil is packed with so much healing benefits and awesome ingredients like chia seed oil, pear seed oil and green tea extract that leaves your lips fully moisturized for up to like 4 hours.
One negative may be the price point for some of us but at $22 it’s definitely worth every penny. Packaging and application is simple and super easy with just two pumps that gives you the perfect amount to fully cover your lips. It glides on smoothly with a sheer tint of color and most importantly it’s not sticky, I can’t stand a sticky lip gloss!

Teddy Boy Lip Crayon – Get it Here. This shade is also on sale now for $10. Grab it while it lasts!
Butter London has been a brand on my list, and yes I do have a very long list, that I’ve been wanting to try for a while. As per usual, I’m always in search of a great lip product and came across the lip crayon in the shade Teddy Boy.
Firstly, I would like to mention that I enjoyed using Butter London’s site because they show you how the same product will look on women of different complexion so you could more or less have an idea of how their product is gonna look on you. That to me was very helpful and one of the main reasons why I’ll be back to shop on their site.
Butter London calls it the ‘3-in-1 formula’ as in it gives you the control of a lip liner, coverage of a lipstick and the shine of a gloss. I have to say that these claims have proven to be true.
The lip crayon comes with it’s own built in sharpener which is super convenient. It’s easy to line my lips with it and then fill it in. On my complexion the shade is like a nudish pink which I absolutely love. It almost has that same finish as my Naturally Chic lipstick from Milani. It has a creamy consistency with a slight gloss finish compared to Wet N Wild’s very matte Nudist Peach. It’s not to loud but just perfectly subtle but yet fun and flirty at the same time. Another plus is that this shade will match with almost anything in your wardrobe. It can go from the desk to happy hour in no time.
I honestly can’t wait to try more shades from them. There products are also formulated without harsh and toxic ingredients like parabens and mineral oil just to name a few, so you can be confident that you’re only applying safe ingredients to your skin.
