If you’r looking for a color more on the dark side of the spectrum then the Kat Von D Smoke and Mirrors Grayscale Mini Lip Duo Everlasting Liquid Lipstick is a great choice.
I usually wear Kat Von D’s everlasting lipsticks when I know I’m going to be out for a very long time. I wear them for events like weddings, concerts and parties. They keep my lips snatched through drinks and food. Oily foods will however remove the lipstick.
Her studded kiss lipsticks are creamy and more comfortable ,but of course they do not last as long. So the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks are better for wearing to events that are going to last while.
The set comes in a black and gray box with the signature Kat Von D designs and logo.
In the box are two mini everlasting liquid lipsticks that contain 3.0ml of product. One shade is a light gray, Dagger, and the other is a darker shade of gray, Woolf.
As a frequent user of matte lipsticks I already know what to expect when wearing matte lipsticks so I always prepare for them
Though KVD’s lipsticks are pigmented and long lasting they do also tend to get very dry which is not unusual for matte liquid lipsticks.
You do have to do your due diligence and prep your lips before hand before using these because you will be very disappointed in the wear of the lipstick.
If you know you suffer from dry, chapped lips then using a lip scrub before applying the lipstick is absolutely necessary. KVD’s lipsticks dry very quickly and will emphasize every imperfection on your lips.
Sometimes it’s not the formula to blame but how much work we put in before hand to ensure that the formula lasts as long as it should. Without properly caring for your lips it can cause the formula to look streaky, patchy or even flaky.
