There are times when you have make a few tweaks to make that product work for you and that’s where the being creative part comes in.

If you’ve never worn liquid lipsticks and you’re trying to get into it then you would want to first get into the habit of exfoliating your lips with a good lip scrub. This is a very essential step in wearing liquid lipsticks.

This step is important because most liquid lipsticks tend to have a matte or ultra matte finish that will easily emphasize any dead skin or dry patches on the surface of your lips.

When it comes to choosing your liquid lipstick, it would be best to start with a more affordable drugstore brand like Wet N Wild or e.l.f. where you’re able to test out a lot more lipsticks and not break the bank.

Colourpop is also an excellent budget friendly non drugstore brand to try with great quality products for less than $10.

When it comes to choosing a shade, start off with a more subtle color like a nude or peach just to get comfortable wearing it and not make yourself all self conscious.

If you feel like the color is not enhancing your lips try tweaking it with a darker shade lip liner to give more depth and definition. That trick almost always works!

When you get more comfortable then you can start transitioning into deeper, bolder colors like plums, deep browns and hot pinks.

If you mess up, you can always use a lip brush and your favorite concealer to correct the mistake leaving you with the perfect pout!
