Though we’re in the middle of May, it’s always better late than never so today’s post is about April’s Lip Monthly.
Check out March’s Lip Monthly here.
I’ve always been a huge fan of the Lip Monthly subscription. I was just always so excited to have my lip products delivered every month but April’s bag is going to be my last bag for now.
I’ve gotten to the point where I’ve accumulated so much lip products that I had to cancel the subscription until I can work through most of what I already have.
I was definitely heartbroken to have cancelled but it was necessary. I still do plan on resubscribing some time in the future when I’ve used up most of my lipsticks.
So now let’s jump into April’s bag. April’s bag contained four lip products, a liquid lipstick, lip gloss, lip crayon and a lip balm.
Bellapierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme in Coral Stone
This liquid lipstick is a peachy brown color that swipes on easily and dries matte.
A nude lip is a color that I will always have on hand because you can just never go wrong with a nude lip. I was excited about this lipstick because I’ve grown to love the brand. I think they make some really great lip products.
I still use a couple of their lipsticks that I received from Lip Monthly on a regular basis.
Hikari Iridescent Lip Gloss in Luna
I have to say that this was the most fun lip product from this month’s bag. Who doesn’t want a fun lip gloss in their collection? Holo and iridescent lip glosses always remind me of my childhood so it’s so hard for me not to like them.
Hikar’s Luna Lip Gloss is filled with tiny pink and purple reflective sparkles that you can wear on it’s own or as a topper.
Lasting Smiles Lip Balm in Passion Fruit Mango
This lip balm has one of the most heart felt stories behind it. The profits from each lip balm gets donated to help children who were born with deformities such as cleft palette.
It’s an organic lip balm that glides on effortlessly and feels like butter on the lips and if you get it in your mouth then by all means enjoy that tasty passion fruit mango flavor.
Whenever I buy products that help with the greater good of humanity it makes me feel better about where I’m actually spending my money. I always say that there’s a lot that we can’t control in this world but one thing that we can is where we choose to put our money.
I’m so proud and supportive of companies like these, very similar to Blush & Whimsy, where they are doing awesome things to positively impact the community on a whole.
Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in Some Beach
I’ve said time and again that using a lip crayon is one of the most low maintenance ways to travel and to get ready in the morning. The lip crayon acts as a lip pencil where you line your lips and then fill it in.
It swatches like a coral color on my skin tone with a slight sheen to it. The creamy formula makes it easy to glide the product all over your lips to get a clean and precise application.
Overall I think April’s bag was a great bag with a variety of products to suit various needs but the best part for me is being introduced to different brands that I would’ve probably never found out about.
