It’s not uncommon for me to hear about face and eyelid primers but lip primers are definitely not something that is talked about as much as the others. As a matter of fact, I rarely ever hear it mentioned in makeup tutorials.
How important are lip primers? Are they even necessary or is it just another way for cosmetic companies to deplete you of your hard earn coins?
I know that face primers increase the longevity of your foundation and helps to minimize pores as I do use face primers regularly in makeup routine, but is it the same with lipstick?

This primer is another budget friendly one that helps to keep your pout in place by creating a nice foundation/base that will help to set your lipstick and keeping it from smudging.
It’s also recommended that you use a lip scrub to prep your lips and remove any dead skin followed by balm and lip liner before any lipstick application. So is a lip primer really necessary if you do all those steps in order to increase the longevity of your lipstick?
What is your take on lip primers?
I’ve never used a lip primer and I wear lipstick every day. I do apply concealer or foundation, then apply lip liner and lip color. Curious to check out the NYX one!
Likewise; I wear lipstick everyday and have never felt the need to apply a primer but I guess it depends on your technique, like with you, using concealer and foundation. There are def other tricks to use than a lip liner.
