Beautiful, bright neon lipsticks are on trend right now and has continued to gain traction, but if you’re that person who just prefers to keep it safe and simple then these new mini matte lipsticks from Anastasia Beverly Hills might just fancy you.
Though these neon like lipsticks like those from Moschino and Sephora are flattering, not everyone feels comfortable sporting them. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Mini Matte Lipstick set is far from neon but they also have a fun little twist.
The set comes in a white box with 3D rose gold details that grace the outside and inside are four mini matte lipsticks with the same gold detail repeated on the lipstick tube container.
This set is available for $21 which is an awesome price by the way but normally you can get it for around $15 or when they do go on clearance. The bullet lipsticks come encased in a beautiful white packaging that would just blend perfectly with your vanity decor.
Each lipstick contains 1.3g of product which is standard for mini lipsticks and the shades are more of a natural, muted hue.
Of course the lipsticks all had the signature ABH logo printed on the tube.
The colors include in the set are Coconut, Orange Blossom, Lychee and Guava. The lipsticks are of a creamier consistency and apply smoothly with no resistance.
The mini lipsticks from ABH are always a favorite for me to try because they are long lasting and feel very comfortable on the lips. I also like that they are tiny enough to throw in my purse or pocket to travel with.
The matte texture is amazing and I honestly feel like the formula has been consistently improving over the years. I find this set to be a creamier matte which I really love.
These were also nothing short of pigmented. The only thing that threw me for a loop were the color descriptions. The Orange Blossom shade is not very orange, more so of a muted peach I would say, but if you’re going to call a shade orange I expect to see orange.
It also has a slight metallic finish to it that is beautiful and not overwhelming but could be an issue if you’re not comfortable with metallics.
The Coconut shade is pretty much self explanatory. I did not expect to see much of a hue from that one and it swatches more like a nude. That one was more true to color.
Lychee is a purple shade with sparkles in it. I didn’t mind the sparkles but it is still a little to early in the year for me to be sporting glitter. I’ll be looking forward to wearing this color more around the holidays.
Like Lychee, Guava is also a glitter shade that swatches beautifully. It reminds me of a golden bronze color that I swatched from Black Radiance.
The shades overall are beautiful I could do without the glitter. Not that I could feel the glitter or anything because I couldn’t. I did not feel a thing so the glitter in the lipstick was comfortable to wear.
I could see myself getting more use out of these towards the end of the year but for now I am comfortable using Coconut and Orange Blossom as an everyday lipstick.
You definitely get a decent amount of product for the price so if you like nudes with a little glitter twist then purchasing the set is definitely worth it, plus it is a great way to test out new lipsticks from ABH.
For me, I Know that I rarely finish a full size lipstick so the minis always work out perfectly.
The lychee color is my favorite . But they all looked like they would be great nudes .
I do think that one complimented me very well.
