So this is a very random collaboration to say the least but you read the title right. Maybelline and Puma has a makeup collaboration that will be hitting U.S. stores pretty soon.
I would have never imagined that Maybelline would partner with an athletic brand so a lot of people, including myself, may be quite confused by this partnership.
Trendmood1 gave us a sneak peak of that this collection looks like. It includes Highlighters, Face and Eye Duo Sticks, Puma Mascara and Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipsticks.
Apparently the line is supposed to be more geared towards high performance makeup which gives this partnership a bit more validation. So who are they actually targeting? People who workout and want to look cute at the same time? Well, I suppose that’s not such a bad idea.
This is not the first time that the athletic brand has collaborated with a well known makeup brand. Mid last year they actually partnered with MAC Cosmetics and released sneakers with a matching lipstick which a lot of people actually liked, so I guess collaborations like this is something that we can continue to see from PUMA.
Either way I think this is an interesting partnership but the products and packaging already look amazing. I’m wondering what the price point would be like though.
