I have to tell you that it’s been really great not having to wear makeup while being in quarantine. I’ve pretty much skipped foundation and concealer and have just been using eyeliner and mascara.

Taking advantage of this little extra time while in quarantine is somewhat of a silver lining among the chaos. My skin has really transformed for the better as I’m not caking on a whole bunch of products.

How To Get That Quarantine Glow Up

I set my self a quarantine ‘glow up’ goal to get my skin in the best shape possible while I have the time, and this is what my routine looks like to help me achieve that quarantine glow:

  1. Hydration

First thing I do when I wake up in the morning is drink about 8 oz of water to get my engine going and then I put my kettle on to make myself a cup of tea. The one that I am loving right now is the Republic of Tea Ginger Peach Green Tea. I add a little apple cider vinegar and honey in there to help boost my immune system.

2. Cleanse the Face

When I wash my face in the morning I don’t use soap because I usually do a thorough cleaning the night before I go to bed. Water is all I need.

3. Toner

I like using a toner as it helps to prepare the pH of the skin for what’s coming next. I enjoy using Good Molecule’s Niacinamide Brightening Toner

4. Apply an Eye Mask or Cream

Sometimes I can wake up with really puffy eyes and I find that applying an eye patch like Good Molecule’s Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches really helps to de-puff and make me look more awake. Another good one that I use is Wander Beauty’s Gold Eye Mask.

5. Sunscreen

Not because we’re spending less time outside means that we should skip on sunscreen. Adding that extra layer of protection to help with sun damage will always benefit your skin regardless if you are indoors or outdoors. My favorite to use is Murad’s City Skin Age Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50.

6. Moisturizer

There are many different moisturizers that we can find to help keep our skin youthful and glowing but my absolute favorite to use is Good Molecule’s Silicone Free Priming Moisturizer.

It’s gentle, fragrance free and does not leave the skin feeling oily. Plus it does a great job of preparing my skin for makeup if I do choose to wear any.

7. Cleanse at Nightime

If I don’t wear any makeup then at night I wash my face with Good Molecules Clarify and Cleanse Bar.

I love how clean my face gets but it does not feel stripped.

If I did wear makeup I would use Good Molecules Instant Cleansing Balm, Pineapple Exfoliating Cleanser or their Rosewater Daily Cleansing Gel.

I use Good Molecules a lot because it really does work with my skin. They use simple ingredients that are clean and easy on the skin and my skin loves it!

Nighttime routine Using Good Molecules Skincare

After I cleanse at night depending on how I feel sometimes, I just add a moisturizer and serum, the Good Molecules Discoloration Correcting Serum is the one that I use.

The last thing that I put on is the Good Molecule Ultra-hydrating Facial Oil to seal everything. I add some Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask or Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask to my lips, call it a night and repeat the steps in the morning.
