Gucci is known for their high fashion so when the brand announced that they will be launching lipsticks people were both confused and excited at the same time.
It’s normal for brands to expand their products and I guess, historically when launching something in the line of beauty, they always started off with lipsticks which is definitely a safe bet.
Gucci debuted the collection in partnership with Alessandro Michele and it was a major success. After one month, the brand sold more than one million lipsticks.
There are 58 shades in the collection with the shades ranging from nudes, pinks and purples. They also come in three different finishes of satin, sheer and translucent which is more like a lip balm.
What’s also amazing about these line of satin lipsticks is that you can also use it as a blush by using your fingers and applying it to your cheeks for a beautiful flush of color.
The gold vintage like packaging is also a great reflection of the brands aesthetic and branding that many people would drop a lot of coins for.
The lipsticks claim to have incredible pigment with a moisturizing formula with a design that was inspired by vintage makeup. I would definitely hope so because at $38 for one, I’m thinking about how many Essence Lip Glosses I could get at that price.
I’m not sure if I can just easily let go of $38 for a lipstick without putting up a fight with myself but apparently these lipsticks must be as cracked up as they claim it be!
