There may be a lot that is going wrong in the world right now, but stories like these never fail to remind us that there is always hope. Even if it’s just a little bit.
What makes this story even better is that we’re using makeup to transform and inspire. Can’t get better than that!
For those who are not familiar with Make-A-Wish Foundation, they are a non-profit organization that helps children who are diagnosed with critical illnesses and help to make their wishes come to reality.
Colourpop is collaborating with a beautiful cancer patient, Delilah Juarez, from the Make-A-Wish Foundation Nevada to create a collection to help other young girls like her who are going through the same struggles to feel beautiful and empowered.
Delilah and Colourpop curated a collection as a way to help and inspire other girls like her to be strong and brave.
The collection includes:
Strength Lip Bundle (three shades)- Make-A-Wish, New Day, and JJ which is named after her sister.
Journey Super Shock Shadow (four shades) – DJ, Okay, Cherish and Warrior
Makeup was the one thing that helped seventeen year old Delilah take her mind off of her daily struggles of dealing with her illness.
It was more of an escape for her than anything else and something that made her feel confident and beautiful especially with going through chemotherapy and the inevitable hair loss.
100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation. This is definitely more than supporting a worthy cause but transforming lives.
The collection will be available to purchase on October 11th.
