Okay, I’m not talking about fame or anything…if only right?
I’m talking about my new Wet N Wild lipstick in the shade 15 minutes Aflame. It’s definitely more on the girly side with a bright but creamy finish. For the price, this lipstick is one to consider. It’s rich and creamy formula easily glides on. It’s also a build-able lipstick but a little goes a long way. Let’s find out how it swatched…Read More »
By now most of you already know that I’m a frequent Milani lipstick user and I recently purchased the color Sweet Nectar from Milan’s Color Statement Collection to do a review, and I have to say that it’s popping! Get it on Amazon.
Milani describes it as being a bright orange but on my skin tone it’s more of a true orange, compared to my MAC’s Lady Danger which is like a coral orange with a matte finish. On lighter or fair skin tones it will probably look more like a bright orange.
This orange lipstick went on easily in one easy swipe. It’s a fresh and flirty color that will give all your other summer lipstick shades a run for their money. It’s creamy and very pigmented with a matte like finish. What I noticed throughout the day as my lips got dryer, since the lipstick is not very moisturizing, is that it settled on those dry areas which was kind of annoying. That happened after about 4 hours of wear, though, which to me is a decent time to remove and apply a fresh coat.
Guys, there are a ton of colors in this collection that you’ll be sure to find one that you like. So far I have the shade Naturally Chic, which I’ll do a review on later, and do plan on getting more shades. I always have a hard time choosing without buying everything so I settled for an orange shade just because it’s summer time and wanted a fresh new color to brighten my outfits. For six bucks a piece, I’m sure that you’ll be able to find an amazing color in the collection for yourself. You should check them out.

If you guys haven’t noticed, I’ve been wearing fuchsia lipsticks like there’s no tomorrow. I’ve mentioned this before in one of older posts that you can read here but fuchsia is like a grown and sexy version of pinks and reds combined that compliments and suits almost all skin tones and immediately brightens your complexion. With that said, and knowing that I’ve been on a fuchsia binge lately, my latest fuchsia buy is the shade Jet Setter by Lorac. Get it on Amazon.
This lipstick will stand out without you even trying, not because it’s vibrant but the depth that it also creates instantly draws attention to your face giving you that effortlessly glamorous look. This lipstick will surely be a winner as it can suit any woman, any look and any occasion. It’s definitely on my list of best fuchsia lipstick.
It is a highly pigmented deep fuchsia lipstick that goes on smoothly with lots of coverage and a creamy matte finish. The pigment and color on this lipstick was so intense that I didn’t even have to reapply it. It lasted me for an entire work day even with eating and drinking. It is at a higher price point, retails around $18, than most of my other lipsticks but I got it at a discounted price from from Glambot for only $15.30 This shade is currently sold out but you can check out the other shade that I’m interested in here called Lorac Alter Ego CEO. Get it on Amazon.

How I make my summer color work is by pairing my lipstick with a colorful top, scarf or even with my nail polish and it instantly elevates my outfit. One of my fun shades is the NYX Summer Breeze, which is like a bubble gum pink that goes perfectly with my skin tone. It is matte and may be slightly more drying in the winter. To help with that dryness, I use Vaseline before I apply my lip liner and lipstick. You can also apply a topcoat of lip gloss on it as well for extra moisture.
Winter is not one of my favorite seasons of the year, however that doesn’t stop me from sporting some of my fun summer shades to brighten up my look and my day. I don’t tend to follow trends when it comes to lipstick shades, I just practically use what I have and make it work for me. One of the things that I stay consistent with, however, is using my lip scrub, especially in the winter time.
How do you wear your summer shades in winter? Let me know. XOXO
So I was going through my lipstick storage and came across a tube of Lady Danger by MAC that I had bought last year around the same time I got my Ruby Woo. I remember instantly falling in love with Ruby Woo that I wore it everywhere and maybe that’s why my Lady Danger was left in the shadows but not anymore, it has taken the spotlight!
Lady Danger is described as a vivid bright coral red that has like an orange tint to it. This color is absolutely gorgeous and will instantly pop on your lips. You don’t even have to wear much makeup with this lipstick because of the focus that it creates. It has a very creamy and smooth texture with a slight matte finish. I feel like my Ruby Woo has a lot more of a matte finish than Lady Danger. It doesn’t last as long as my Ruby Woo either but it does leave a stain on your lips for about four hours so I guess I’m okay with that. It’s the perfect color for the upcoming summertime and I’m so excited to pair it with my shorts and sandals. What is your favorite red shade from MAC? Share your comments below. Puckers to you xoxo.
