What comes to mind when you hear the word flannel? To me, flannel is like my mac and cheese when it comes to clothing. It brings me warmth and comfort. I think about wearing my flannels on cool fall afternoons with a cup of coffee in one hand while watching the autumn leaves fall. Very dramatic but that is essentially how I feel when I think about my flannels. [Read more…]
It can be a pretty scary thought when it comes to buying makeup and lipstick only to realize that it wasn’t what you expected to be. Many of us don’t have confidence in cheaper brands just because they usually turn out to be a waste of money. [Read more…]
Okay, I’m not talking about fame or anything…if only right?
I’m talking about my new Wet N Wild lipstick in the shade 15 minutes Aflame. It’s definitely more on the girly side with a bright but creamy finish. For the price, this lipstick is one to consider. It’s rich and creamy formula easily glides on. It’s also a build-able lipstick but a little goes a long way. Let’s find out how it swatched… [Read more…]

While many of us are still trying to enjoy the last few weeks of summer, I’m getting ready for fall. I’m excited for sweaters, flannels, leggings and of course lipstick. My new addition is Cashmere Silk Finish Lipstick by Wet n Wild.
Buy it here for $5.79.
This lipstick is definitely a more fall color I would say as it has more of a dark brown chocolate-y color that I don’t have in my current collection and that was all the reason I needed so I bought it.
As I applied it, off the bat it was very moisturizing, however I noticed that it had too much of a silky finish almost borderline metallic which wasn’t a problem really so I decided to just do one application of the lipstick because I wanted to keep that silk finish toned down. It did give me a more mature look which honestly I don’t mind because I’m so used to wearing very vibrant and fun lipsticks. Overall, I though it was a great lip shade that I will be using down the road as fall creeps in.
What I love about Wet n Wild’s lipstick is that they’re very affordable and have a very wide shade range where you can always find something that appeals to you. I know that this shade has probably been around for a while because it was kinda hard to find online and since I live in a small town I’m thinking that they just send all the older shades to my little neighborhood store that’s why I always end up with them since I do a lot of makeup impulse buys there.
You can also buy a 3 pack for $7.40 since holiday season is coming up and share it with your family friends.

Have you ever bought lipstick just because you thought it’s a shade that would look good on you? Well that’s what happened with this new lipstick purchase, Under My Spell by Rimmel London. So the truth is that I saw some amazing pictures on Pinterest with women wearing this lipstick and thought oh…so pretty but probably a little darker than what I usually wear but I bought it anyways because…who needs a reason to buy makeup?
Under My Spell is like a deep plum that you can of course layer depending on how dark you want it. I only put a couple layers on just because I wore it in the daytime and it was a beautiful and sunny day out and I didn’t want to cramp anyone’s style with my dark and Gothic lips. I have to say that I liked this lipstick on me but I didn’t love it. I guess it’s because I’m so use to wearing my fuchsias that this one seemed very foreign to me. I’ll definitely have to ease my way into wearing darker plums. It’s also not gonna be one of my everyday wear lipsticks just because it’s so dramatic even with a couple layers.

Apart from all that I did find that applying the lipstick was effortless. The lipstick bullet comes in a flat angled shape that made application super easy. It’s also very creamy and pigmented with a high impact color that lasts without drying out your lips.
Has anyone tried Rimmel’s Under My Spell? Give me some feedback and let PuckerUpBabe know.
To kick off my Memorial Day Weekend, I was rocking the red, white and blue, but who wasn’t right? Even though I didn’t do anything major or had any fantastic plans, I had my own little way of celebrating with my lipstick. Ruby Woo that is! There was just no other way to make it memorable without my classic, statement red lip. In my mind, that is just the ultimate and only lipstick you’ll need, but then again that’s just me.
Nevertheless, I had fun dressing up and putting together my makeup this weekend. I normally just keep my makeup simple especially if I’m wearing a bold lip color because I don’t want my makeup and overall look to be competing with each other. I paired my makeup with some cute button up tops and my red nail polish to bring everything together.
Now that Memorial Day has officially come and gone, I have to say that I’m excited to be heading into summer time with new and exciting lipsticks and trends that I can’t wait to try. I’ll probably be taking a little break from my Ruby Woo, but I’m not making any promises.
Hope you enjoyed your Memorial Day Weekend. How did you guys celebrate? Give me some feedback in the comments below.
You guys may have noticed from some of my past posts that I literally live in Milani. Not only is the packaging expensive looking but the quality of the product is great for being a drugstore brand lipstick.
Left to right: Milani Matte Confident 67, Milani Matte Orchid 64 and Milani Matte Diva 63
Milani is also made in the USA so I know that the ingredients are gonna be safe on my lips compared to other brands that are made in a foreign country. I tend to pair the Matte Orchid and the Matte Diva with a lot of bright yellows and greens in my wardrobe. They just make everything pop.

I reserve the Matte Confident for my mostly neutral colors like grey, white, tan and black, but it pairs well with brownish, copper colored clothing as well.

Now that you’ve seen my obsession with Milani, what shades should I try next? Let PuckerUpBabe know XOXO
I found myself unusually wearing quite a bit of purplish lipstick colors this winter mostly because it was fun and brightened me up on the cold and sad looking winter days. I was amazed at how much I basically wore my bright colors and pretty much ignored everything else. The shades of purple were giving me life! Being intrigued by my winter purplish lips obsession, I googled and found some interesting facts about the color purple.
1.Purple is the color mostly associated with royalty and luxury. No need to tell me twice, I’m liking the sound of this already. All the rich an the richest of the rich would would wear purple to show off their wealth.
2.Purple is a universally flattering color that will compliment any complexion. With that said, there shall be no skin tone left behind. No excuses to not slap a shade of purple on and pucker up.
3. It’s sort of mystical in a sense and it also helps you to be more creative. No wonder I was drawn to them when the skies were dark and gloomy. I was looking for creative ways to brighten my day.
How do you feel about purple? Let me know. Until next time…pucker up xoxo
Fuchsia lipsticks have been one of my signature lip shade for 2014 and will definitely be on my holy grail list for this year. Fuchsia is like a purple-ish, pink-ish color that is universally flattering on women of every color. If you’re thinking about giving bold colored lipsticks a try and not sure which shade to start with then a purple-ish shade is definitely the way to go.
To achieve this look I applied Milani’s Fuchsia Lip Liner to line and fill my lips. I always use a lip liner when wearing lipsticks because not only does the lip liner act as a guide so that my lipstick doesn’t go outside of the ‘lip zone’ but it also helps with keeping your lipstick vibrant throughout the day. The lipstick I used is Flat Out Fabulous by MAC. It’s a retro matte shade and it lasts all day long.
You should always apply some chap stick or lip balm before you apply your lipstick because matte lipsticks have a very dry finish. If you’re not a fan of matte lipsticks then you might want to search for a more creamier texture that won’t dry out your lips. There was never a need to reapply my lipstick and that’s why this is one of my favorite lipsticks because it will last me for months at a time. Try it out and let me know what you think. Puckers to you xoxo.
