I received this Sephora lipstick, Mr. Lover, as a Christmas present last year from my sisters and it’s one of the most moisturizing lipsticks in my collection. It goes on very smoothly and leaves a rich, creamy texture that won’t dry out your lips. I absolutely love the color as well, a deep-ish hot fuchsia with a slight sheen that will compliment almost any skin tone. I found myself wearing it a lot during the winter because it left my lips soft and luscious. It also left a bit of a stain on my lips after some hours, which is good because no one wants their lipstick to be completely washed off that you have to apply it every 15 minutes. It’s long wearing, vibrant and moisturizing. These are the complete opposite of matte lipsticks and are a great option for those women who prefer creamy and hydrating lipsticks.
There was not even a need for me to apply a lip balm because of how moisturizing it is. I will definitely be visiting Sephora to see what other exciting colors they have in this creamy, moisturizing texture. What are your current favorites from Sephora? Pink lipstick may be a hard color for many of us women to pull off but it just takes a little patience to find the right shade for you that will make your lips pop. Milani’s Matte Diva 63 is a bright pink that I would say is a part of the fuchsia family because it has some subtle purple tones to it. It’s a lot more pink and girly than MAC’s Flat Out Fabulous and it’s the perfect shade for Spring that will pair well with floral pieces in your wardrobe.
I have to say however, that I do prefer my Flat Out Fabulous by MAC over this one because I think the quality is a little better. After wearing this lipstick for a few hours it started to emphasize the dryness of my lips since it has a matte finish. Many lipsticks with a matte finish are very drying and will almost always dry out your lips, that is why you always have to prep your lips for that smooth, flawless finish. Even though I used my olive oil and brown sugar lip scrub as well as my Carmex Lip Balm this lipstick didn’t hold up well enough for me. With that said, its a bold and beautiful color that I would still rock but only if I run out of my Flat Out Fabulous by MAC. What are your current pink or fuchsia shades?
Puckers to you xoxo.
