Okay, I’m not talking about fame or anything…if only right?
I’m talking about my new Wet N Wild lipstick in the shade 15 minutes Aflame. It’s definitely more on the girly side with a bright but creamy finish. For the price, this lipstick is one to consider. It’s rich and creamy formula easily glides on. It’s also a build-able lipstick but a little goes a long way. Let’s find out how it swatched…Read More »
I have to admit that I’m glad to be back after taking off a month. If you’ve noticed that I’ve been MIA for a while that’s because I recently got married and was caught up in wedding planning and travelling. Now that that’s all over just been trying to get back to my lipstick hunting and weekly blogging.
Well you guys know that I love a good deal, especially if you’re someone like me who spends a lot on makeup. Butter London has been my secret obsession as of late. I’ve purchased their lip oil that I’m convinced was a God sent because it’s literally the best thing that has happened to my lips. And because I was very happy with that purchase, I had to go back and get other products, of course.
The good news is that Butter London is having a sale and that’s how I ended up buying more products. Click here to take advantage of that sale and reclaim your lipstick game! Since it’s a sale item, it may or may not be available but the lipstick version can be found on Amazon as well.
My most recent purchase is the Primrose Hill Picnic Lip Crayon as seen in the pic below:
It’s a very girly and flirty fuchsia-like shade on me. I really got a ton of compliments on this color as it is so vibrant and just lights up my entire face.
You can compare it to my first lip crayon purchase from Butter London in the shade Teddy Boy that is more of pinkish nude on my skin tone that I wear all the time now when I’m not trying to go too heavy on the makeup.
By now most of you already know that I’m a frequent Milani lipstick user and I recently purchased the color Sweet Nectar from Milan’s Color Statement Collection to do a review, and I have to say that it’s popping! Get it on Amazon.
Milani describes it as being a bright orange but on my skin tone it’s more of a true orange, compared to my MAC’s Lady Danger which is like a coral orange with a matte finish. On lighter or fair skin tones it will probably look more like a bright orange.
This orange lipstick went on easily in one easy swipe. It’s a fresh and flirty color that will give all your other summer lipstick shades a run for their money. It’s creamy and very pigmented with a matte like finish. What I noticed throughout the day as my lips got dryer, since the lipstick is not very moisturizing, is that it settled on those dry areas which was kind of annoying. That happened after about 4 hours of wear, though, which to me is a decent time to remove and apply a fresh coat.
Guys, there are a ton of colors in this collection that you’ll be sure to find one that you like. So far I have the shade Naturally Chic, which I’ll do a review on later, and do plan on getting more shades. I always have a hard time choosing without buying everything so I settled for an orange shade just because it’s summer time and wanted a fresh new color to brighten my outfits. For six bucks a piece, I’m sure that you’ll be able to find an amazing color in the collection for yourself. You should check them out.

Have you ever bought lipstick just because you thought it’s a shade that would look good on you? Well that’s what happened with this new lipstick purchase, Under My Spell by Rimmel London. So the truth is that I saw some amazing pictures on Pinterest with women wearing this lipstick and thought oh…so pretty but probably a little darker than what I usually wear but I bought it anyways because…who needs a reason to buy makeup?
Under My Spell is like a deep plum that you can of course layer depending on how dark you want it. I only put a couple layers on just because I wore it in the daytime and it was a beautiful and sunny day out and I didn’t want to cramp anyone’s style with my dark and Gothic lips. I have to say that I liked this lipstick on me but I didn’t love it. I guess it’s because I’m so use to wearing my fuchsias that this one seemed very foreign to me. I’ll definitely have to ease my way into wearing darker plums. It’s also not gonna be one of my everyday wear lipsticks just because it’s so dramatic even with a couple layers.
Apart from all that I did find that applying the lipstick was effortless. The lipstick bullet comes in a flat angled shape that made application super easy. It’s also very creamy and pigmented with a high impact color that lasts without drying out your lips.

I finally got my hands, or should I say my lips, on one of Laura Mercier’s lipsticks from her Velour Lovers Collection in the shade Boudoir. This can range from a fuchsia to like a deep berry color depending on how many layers you put on. On my dark skin tone it definitely looked more fuchsia, like most of my other lipsticks…but hey I’ve always got room for more fuchsia.
I have to say that this lipstick is luxuriously creamy and just immaculately glides on your lips. It must be the nourishing mango butter used that also makes it feel more like a lip balm. Can I say lipstick heaven?
It’s also highly pigmented with a long lasting wear and a satin matte finish ( I never thought I could use those two words to describe a lipstick), we all know how matte finishes can be sometimes, like paper, but beauty is pain so I’m not complaining.
Have any of you tried Laura Mercier’s Velour Collection? Give me some feedback in the comments below and let PuckerUpBabe know.
So I was going through my lipstick storage and came across a tube of Lady Danger by MAC that I had bought last year around the same time I got my Ruby Woo. I remember instantly falling in love with Ruby Woo that I wore it everywhere and maybe that’s why my Lady Danger was left in the shadows but not anymore, it has taken the spotlight!
Lady Danger is described as a vivid bright coral red that has like an orange tint to it. This color is absolutely gorgeous and will instantly pop on your lips. You don’t even have to wear much makeup with this lipstick because of the focus that it creates. It has a very creamy and smooth texture with a slight matte finish. I feel like my Ruby Woo has a lot more of a matte finish than Lady Danger. It doesn’t last as long as my Ruby Woo either but it does leave a stain on your lips for about four hours so I guess I’m okay with that. It’s the perfect color for the upcoming summertime and I’m so excited to pair it with my shorts and sandals. What is your favorite red shade from MAC? Share your comments below. Puckers to you xoxo.
I received this Sephora lipstick, Mr. Lover, as a Christmas present last year from my sisters and it’s one of the most moisturizing lipsticks in my collection. It goes on very smoothly and leaves a rich, creamy texture that won’t dry out your lips. I absolutely love the color as well, a deep-ish hot fuchsia with a slight sheen that will compliment almost any skin tone. I found myself wearing it a lot during the winter because it left my lips soft and luscious. It also left a bit of a stain on my lips after some hours, which is good because no one wants their lipstick to be completely washed off that you have to apply it every 15 minutes. It’s long wearing, vibrant and moisturizing. These are the complete opposite of matte lipsticks and are a great option for those women who prefer creamy and hydrating lipsticks.
There was not even a need for me to apply a lip balm because of how moisturizing it is. I will definitely be visiting Sephora to see what other exciting colors they have in this creamy, moisturizing texture. What are your current favorites from Sephora? Post your pics and comments below. Puckers to you xoxo.
