Bite Beauty Sweet Treats Agave Lip Care Set

We might all be excited for the holidays so that we can wear our moody makeup and lipsticks but the worst part about the Fall and Winter seasons is the cold and dry weather that lingers and do a number on our skin and lips.

So how do we care for weather beaten lips that are dry and sore? First of all, finding the right lip scrub and lip balm is a good start.

Caring for your lips is a process but it’s a necessary evil especially for someone who wears lipsticks, especially matte lipsticks on a regular basis.

The good news is that Bite Beauty has even made that process easier by providing a very handy lip care set.

Sugar Lip Scrubs Worth Trying?

Now that Summer is officially over, it’s time for us to start thinking about winter skincare. I know for me personally, my skin gets dryer to the thousandth degree, including my lips and there is nothing cute about weather-beaten lips.

I really want to show my lips some extra love as we creep into the Fall and Winter seasons. When it comes to lip scrubs, exfoliation and hydration are on top of the list and even better if they contain healing properties. So I have found a list of scrubs that may be worth trying.

I’m not new to the Fresh brand, I’ve actually used their Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Balm in the past and was happy with the results.

This one contains shea butter and jojoba oil which aids in the conditioning of the lips to keep them soft and smooth.

This brand I have not tried before but the lip scrub seems to be a popular one based on customer reviews.

This lip scrub also contains Organic shea butter but it’s infused with peppermint oil which I’m super crazy about since peppermint has soothing and healing properties.

What is so different about this lip scrub is that it is best to use it before applying any liquid lipstick. As a frequent wearer of liquid lipsticks, one of the very first step is to ensure that all dead skin is removed and this is exactly what this scrub does.

This lip scrub has many great reviews and is raved about by many influencers.

e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator

One of the secrets to making your lips look lusciously delicious when wearing lipstick or lip gloss is to give it a good scrub to remove all the chapped and dry skin. My latest buy is e.l.f.’s Lip Exfoliator that comes in a cute lipstick shape that makes it easy to apply. I actually like this product as it is similar to my home made olive oil and brown sugar lip scrub.
e.l.f. claims that it is infused with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape and Jojoba Oil. It really is moisturizing though and leaves your lips soft and smooth. This one is definitely a winner for me. What is your favorite lip scrub?
Puckers to you xoxo

Tips for Beautiful Pucker Lips

There is nothing worse than seeing a woman wearing lipstick on dry, chapped and peeling lips. Wearing lipstick when your lips are in bad shape is always a bad idea because the lipstick, especially if it’s a brightly colored one like red, will only emphasize those flaws. It’s always important to regularly care for your puckers by keeping them hydrated and exfoliated. My current regime for my lip care includes a mixture of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and brown sugar. I rub this on my lips at least four times a week. The brown sugar acts as a scrub and exfoliates while the olive oil locks in the moisture. You can choose to do this as often as you would like to ensure that your lips are smooth and moisturized. So prep those lips and get ready to pucker up.
