I’m a huge fan of lipsticks but what is even more convenient than a lipstick is a lip crayon. When you can everything that you like in a lipstick placed in a creamy lip crayon it simplifies your makeup routine even more. The latest addition to my collection is the Ulta Beauty Gloss Boss Lip Crayon Kit.
I can easily compare these to the Nudestix Crayons. They have a lightweight, creamy finish that does not dry out your lips. The colors are more of a neutral pigment that applies and feels like butter.
I like that the crayon is a chubby stick that makes application easy as you grip to line your lips and fill in the color.
One of the things that I did not like was that the colors looked very rich and pigmented on the box but the actual lip crayons swatched like more of a sheer, glossy balm
The Ulta Beauty Gloss Boss 3 Piece Glossy Lip Crayon Kit is ultra hydrating with a rich, creamy texture. They come in three almost similar shades with a slight variation. What I noticed is that they give you more of a natural sheer finish with a lot of moisture.
Girl Boss is a beautiful sheer pink that could be worn on its own but it would come off more pigmented if worn over another lipstick. It has a glossy finish that reflects the light beautifully.
If you want to make a bold statement then this shade will not work for you.
CEO is a sheer reddish brown color that was also the most pigmented from the set.
With this one being the most pigmented you could certainly wear this one on its own as it adds a nice flush of color to your lips that leaves it looking glossy and beautiful.
Like Girl Boss, this shade was also swatched a very sheer pink color.
The lip crayon set is a beautiful set that is meant to provide a subtle flush of color to your lips. For those who are looking for more of a statement making color would have to wear this as a topper over lipstick. The lip crayon would not be pigmented enough on it’s own.
