We might all be excited for the holidays so that we can wear our moody makeup and lipsticks but the worst part about the Fall and Winter seasons is the cold and dry weather that lingers and do a number on our skin and lips.
Caring for your lips is a process but it’s a necessary evil especially for someone who wears lipsticks, especially matte lipsticks on a regular basis.
The good news is that Bite Beauty has even made that process easier by providing a very handy lip care set.
Though the dry air and wind is not that forgiving, Bite Beauty’s Agave Lip Care Set is all you need to get your lips back into kissable shape.
It’s a limited edition lip care set that is also only exclusively sold on Sephora. The lip care products were stuffed in a very cute clear glass bottle.
The items included are:
Agave Sugar Lip Scrub Packet 0.02 oz
Agave Lip Balm in Natural 0.05 oz
Agave Lip Mask 0.18 oz
Cost – $12; Get it here
The glass bottle was a nice touch but really wasn’t necessary. I do admit that it would make a great Christmas or Birthday present from the way it’s packaged though.
There were no instructions included in the set but Sephora did provide a Suggested Use on their website.
Agave Sugar Lip Scrub Packet
The lip scrub came in a very tiny little packet that I thought was only good for one use but come to find out that I had a few uses out of it because a little bit covers your entire lips.
Agave Sugar Lip Scrub:
-Massage Agave Sugar Lip Scrub over the lips.
-Add water to create a milky foam to wash away any impurities or dry patches.
-Allow the oils to soak into the skin overnight for soft, hydrated lips.
The sugar lip scrub did an excellent job exfoliating the lips and removing dead skin. It’s like the sugar melted as I scrubbed my lips. It also tasted a lot like vanilla so it’s like a sweet treat if you happen to eat some.
Agave Lip Balm
First of all, how cute is the packaging? It’s shaped like a pill with a rubber soft exterior that gives good grip.
Agave Lip Balm:
-Use Agave Lip Balm as a part of your daytime ritual.
-Follow up with the Agave Sugar Scrub and Agave Lip Mask at night to ensure perfectly exfoliated and hydrated lips.
Like I’ve mentioned before, lip balms are a staple in my collection. It’s important for them to be within reach no matter where on earth I am. This lip balm smells really good and keeps your lips hydrated for a very long time.
After using the lip scrub, I apply a couple layers of the balm and my lips are happy as can be. A little bit of this also does wonders as a base when wearing ultra matte lipsticks since matte tend to suck the life out your lips.
This lip balm acts as a great barrier so help retain moisture that matte lipsticks take away.
Agave Lip Mask
I do own one of Bite Beauty’s Agave Lip Balm that I received in my Play! by Sephora July 2018 in Natural which is essentially colorless and I have to say that it is part of my Holy Grail.
Agave Lip Mask:
-Apply at bedtime and wear throughout the day for hydration and shine.
The flavor of this one included in the set is Champagne which is a pinkish tint but didn’t want to open it as I’m still working on finishing the first one.
I most often use this as an overnight lip mask because it’s thick and delivers intense hydration. My lips are super soft in the morning when I wake up and ready for lipstick.
It’s a bit too heavy for me to wear during the day unless my lips are extremely dry and chapped then I just skip lip balm and wear this for the entire day.
Bite Beauty’s Agave Lip Care Set is special to me on so many levels. It has made my lip care regime complete.
