e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator

One of the secrets to making your lips look lusciously delicious when wearing lipstick or lip gloss is to give it a good scrub to remove all the chapped and dry skin. My latest buy is e.l.f.’s Lip Exfoliator that comes in a cute lipstick shape that makes it easy to apply. I actually like this product as it is similar to my home made olive oil and brown sugar lip scrub.
e.l.f. claims that it is infused with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape and Jojoba Oil. It really is moisturizing though and leaves your lips soft and smooth. This one is definitely a winner for me. What is your favorite lip scrub?

Milani’s Matte Orchid

Milani's Matte Orchid

Milani’s Matte Orchid

Everyone has been raving about fuchsia lipsticks this season and here on my list again is Milani’s Matte Orchid, an intense pink shade of flirty fun. It’s very inexpensive and has a “moisture matte” finish to it that makes it not as drying as my Flat Out Fabulous by MAC. It lasts for about five hours on my lips and still leaves a stain after you take it off so you might need a little lip scrub for complete removal.

I’ve really been into Milani products lately and I’m very excited to see what they come up with next. Their colors seem to really compliment my skin tone which will definitely make me a returning customer, plus I think the packaging of their lipsticks is very sexy with the reflective gold finish. Showstopper Lady Danger by MAC

Lady Danger by MAC

Lady Danger by MAC

So I was going through my lipstick storage and came across a tube of Lady Danger by MAC that I had bought last year around the same time I got my Ruby Woo. I remember instantly falling in love with Ruby Woo that I wore it everywhere and maybe that’s why my Lady Danger was left in the shadows but not anymore, it has taken the spotlight!

Lady Danger is described as a vivid bright coral red that has like an orange tint to it. This color is absolutely gorgeous and will instantly pop on your lips. You don’t even have to wear much makeup with this lipstick because of the focus that it creates. It has a very creamy and smooth texture with a slight matte finish. I feel like my Ruby Woo has a lot more of a matte finish than Lady Danger. It doesn’t last as long as my Ruby Woo either but it does leave a stain on your lips for about four hours so I guess I’m okay with that. It’s the perfect color for the upcoming summertime and I’m so excited to pair it with my shorts and sandals. What is your favorite red shade from MAC? Share your comments below. Puckers to you xoxo.

Everyday Glossy Lip Gloss

NYX Mauve 06 Lip Gloss

NYX Mauve 06 Lip Gloss

I really enjoy wearing a great lip gloss that is not sticky or heavy on the lips. One of my go to favorite is NYX’s Lip Gloss in Mauve 06. I wear a lot of lip gloss on my lazy days which occur more often these days, but it gets the job done without putting too much effort. It’s a nude-ish pinkish color on my lips that is refreshing and girly.

Ravishing Incessant Russet

L'Oreal Incessant Russet 219

L’Oreal Incessant Russet 219

L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro-Last Lipcolor is a lip stain that is similar to the Covergirl Outlast All Day Lipcolor that I’ve used in the past with it’s two step application. It has two sides, the lip color on one end and a hydrating lip balm on the other end.

L'Oreal Incessant Russet 219

L’Oreal Incessant Russet 219

I bought this in the shade Incessant Russet 219 and is sort of a reddish brownish color on my lips. It’s a vibrant color that can easily transition from sultry daytime to sexy night time. In my opinion, I do prefer Covergirl’s Outlast Lip Color to this one because the color seemed to last a lot longer throughout the day as I ate and drank. With L’Oreal’s Pro-Last, the color faded quickly especially in the center of my lips. I also found myself having to re-apply the lip color and the lip balm a few times because the color fades and it’s not as intense. It also had a tendency to get very dry and flaky, which was also true for the Covergirl outlast, but this one seemed to happen faster.

I guess it would last 24 hours if we excluded activities such as eating and drinking, but if you feel like you wouldn’t be annoyed with re-applying the lip color and lip balm then you might wanna give it a try because the color is fantastic. D,  however, exfoliate your lips before applying which would decrease the flaking and give you a longer wear. What’s your favorite L’Oreal Lip Stain?. Post your comments and pics. Creamy, Moisturizing Lipstick – Mr. Lover

Rouge Cream Lipstick- Mr. Lover

Rouge Cream Lipstick- Mr. Lover

I received this Sephora lipstick, Mr. Lover,  as a Christmas present last year from my sisters and it’s one of the most moisturizing lipsticks in my collection. It goes on very smoothly and leaves a rich, creamy texture that won’t dry out your lips. I absolutely love the color as well, a deep-ish hot fuchsia with a slight sheen that will compliment almost any skin tone. I found myself wearing it a lot during the winter because it left my lips soft and luscious. It also left a bit of a stain on my lips after some hours, which is good because no one wants their lipstick to be completely washed off that you have to apply it every 15 minutes. It’s long wearing, vibrant and moisturizing. These are the complete opposite of matte lipsticks and are a great option for those women who prefer creamy and hydrating lipsticks.

There was not even a need for me to apply a lip balm because of how moisturizing it is. I will definitely be visiting Sephora to see what other exciting colors they have in this creamy, moisturizing texture. What are your current favorites from Sephora? My Statement Red Lip – Ruby Woo

Retro Matte Ruby Woo Lipstick

Retro Matte Ruby Woo Lipstick

Red lipsticks are classic, timeless and here to stay forever. Every woman should have a favorite red lipstick as part of her makeup collection. You will not know the power of a red lip until you try it. You either love it or you hate it, but at least give it a try first. Not only does it instantly exudes glamour but confidence as well, plus it will transform and elevate your overall look like no other lipstick can. Who doesn’t want a lipstick that screams style, sexy, power and confidence all in one swipe? Count me in, please.

My go to red lipstick that I simply cannot live without is Ruby Woo by MAC. It’s a retro matte lipstick that will last all day long with only one application. When it comes to matte lipsticks I always prefer a brand by MAC because I have had better experiences with them, plus I find that the quality is a lot better than other brands that I’ve used in the past.

With that said, I want to run you through my very simple steps for my red lip application. Firstly, like I’ve said before in previous blogs, always prep your lips before wearing lipstick, especially with a matte lipstick. See my tips for beautiful pucker lips. Next, you want to add a little lip balm or chap stick to add moisture. Take a red lip liner. I use Redd by MAC and outline your lips and then you can apply your red lipstick. I also want to point out that you should never put red lipstick on without a mirror or in the car. Clean up your mistakes with a concealer for a more refined and flawless look and you’ll be ready to step out.

Prissy in Pink Lipstick

Milani's Matte Diva 63

Milani’s Matte Diva 63

Pink lipstick may be a hard color for many of us women to pull off but it just takes a little patience to find the right shade for you that will make your lips pop. Milani’s Matte Diva 63 is a bright pink that I would say is a part of the fuchsia family because it has some subtle purple tones to it. It’s a lot more pink and girly than MAC’s Flat Out Fabulous and it’s the perfect shade for Spring that will pair well with floral pieces in your wardrobe.

I have to say however, that I do prefer my Flat Out Fabulous by MAC over this one because I think the quality is a little better. After wearing this lipstick for a few hours it started to emphasize the dryness of my lips since it has a matte finish. Many lipsticks with a matte finish are very drying and will almost always dry out your lips, that is why you always have to prep your lips for that smooth, flawless finish. Even though I used my olive oil and brown sugar lip scrub as well as my Carmex Lip Balm this lipstick didn’t hold up well enough for me. With that said, its a bold and beautiful color that I would still rock but only if I run out of my Flat Out Fabulous by MAC. What are your current pink or fuchsia shades?
Puckers to you xoxo.
